What type of valuation is right for you?
There are many different types of valuation available through Byjoel. Each valuation has a specific purpose and function and it is important to know what is right for you.
Along with the different types of valuation available there are many diverse requirements in the reporting and documentation of each type of valuation. Whether the valuation is just a simple inventory for personal use or legal document for court proceedings Byjoel has the team and the experience to meet your valuation needs.
Market: How much you will receive if that item was sold.
Market value is the price at which an item would change hands between a willing buyer and a willing seller, neither being under any compulsion to buy or to sell and both having reasonable knowledge of relevant facts.
Insurance: How much it will cost to replace an item.
The cost, including GST, to either replace an item in a retail store, antique shop or gallery. Or, if that cannot be found the cost to have that item manufactured.
Family Law: The value required by the courts for the purpose of matrimonial settlement. This is a market value allowing for appropriate marketing and without time restraints, or where there is no market fair value allowing for each party’s interests. All items are digitally photographed during the valuation process to prevent confusion. Reporting used for these valuations meets the courts’ requirements and rules.
Corporate Collections: A valuation and inventory for corporations.
This is a combination of audit, listing and valuation of a corporate collection. Many companies have put together collections over many years and this valuation brings all items into a single list. This valuation can be used by company accountants for reporting and audits.
Asset Management: Similar to a corporate valuation but with added elements.
This includes all the elements of the corporate valuation but adds identification, tagging, location and photography presented in an MS Access file. |
